MAY DAY COMES EARLY
May Day is usually celebrated on May 1st. It’s a day when workers come together to celebrate solidarity and to commemorate those that have gone before them and fought hard against the bosses for fairness and justice at work.
Well, May Day has come early for each and every RTBU Member who has stood up against PN in their race to circumvent rights and conditions under the cover of this global pandemic.
Pacific National Management have released a memo this afternoon acknowledging the Delegates and the RTBU for all their hard work in trying to come to a resolution around possible flexibilities during the COVID-19 virus.
Pacific National, whilst taking the long long road around, have come back to realise there is enough flexibilities in the existing EA’s.
RTBU Delegates and Members have been saying throughout this whole saga, that they are willing to negotiate local flexibilities within the protections of the three enterprise Agreements. And they have been vindicated.
Congratulations to each and every RTBU Member out there for your relentless pursuit to preserve your hard-won rights and conditions.
HAPPY MAY DAY COMRADES. SOLIDARITY FOREVER
