Wifi on the New Intercity Fleet will not be guaranteed

A media release from Paul Scully MP late last year raises doubts about whether or not the NSW Government will deliver on its promise to provide free WiFi to customers travelling on the New Intercity Fleet.

“New Intercity fleet carriages, which will become available on the South Coast Line in 2021, will not have Wi-Fi automatically available.” Mr Scully’s statement says.

The media release quotes Minister Constance stating that “The New Intercity Fleet will be Wi-Fi enabled so that we’re in a position to make this feature operational should that decision be taken in the future.”
