Sydney Trains Footplate: Annual Leave Preference Dispute Resolved

Your Locomotive Division wishes to inform members of the positive resolution to a recent dispute issued at several Sydney Trains depots.

Last week Sydney Trains management issued the 2019 Train Crew Annual Leave Request form. This form removed the ability to apply for periods of leave which coincide with school holiday periods. This was met with immediate disputation from Locomotive Division members and delegates.

As a result, Sydney Trains has implemented the following to resolve the dispute:

• Reissue the 2019 Train Crew Annual Leave Request Form with the missing dates re-inserted.
• Inform Train Crew of their mistake and advise that a new Train Crew Annual Leave Request Form is available through a Crew Update.
• Allow any Train Crew who may have applied with the incorrect form to resubmit their request.
