Sydney Trains COVID-19 Update

Loco Division Delegates and HSR’s at Sydney Trains are continuing to play a major role in addressing Member issues through the COVID-19 taskforce.

Their hard work and tenacity has led to robust COVID-19 specific cab cleaning protocols being implemented at turnback locations during the day and at all depots, yards and maintenance centres overnight. 

Other measures, ensuring social distancing requirements, have been implemented at all locations as well as making sure cleaning aids like hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes are readily available. 

As COVID-19 continues to affect all aspects of our roles, the focus is moving to ensuring safety recommendations are implemented within the training and assessing space. The nature of this work poses particular challenges but Reps and HSR’s continue to work to ensure Members are supported and standards are maintained.
