Sudden relocation takes El Zoro drivers by surprise

Due to a downturn in grain deliveries from the North West NSW, El Zorro has relocated its fleet from the line running between Narrabri and Newcastle to South West NSW at Temora and Cootamundra.

This resulted in the loss of eight jobs in Narrabri and two in Newcastle. The move came completely out of the blue for the drivers – and although some were able to take the opportunity to relocate, for others it was not possible. Most of the workers had only been there for a couple of years and so received limited redundancy packages.
