Solidarity with QLD Aurizon drivers
Aurizon drivers in Queensland voted to take part in protected industrial action, after the company refused to negotiate a fair enterprise agreement.
Currently, the company is refusing to budge on a new clause it wishes to insert in the EA which allows for forced redundancies.
Members in QLD recently overwhelmingly approved an unlimited number of stoppages of up to 48 hours. The RTBU in QLD is currently planning possible action over the Christmas and New Year period.
The Loco Division NSW extends our support to our comrades in QLD during this difficult period. We know no driver ever wants to have to take industrial action, but the company has forced it to this point with its insulting EA.
We’ll keep you updated on this one.
