RTBU rallies for public sector wages, jobs

Hundreds of RTBU members attended the public sector rally to protest against the State Government’s unfair and unjust public sector industrial relations (IR) laws, and its plans to axe 5,000 public sector jobs.

RTBU members were highly visible in the huge crowd of around 35,000 people which assembled on the Domain in Sydney.  Members came in their own time to send a powerful message to the State Government.

The rally then marched to Hyde Park – filling Macquarie Street with a sea of union banners and flags, and taking 90 minutes to get past Parliament House.
