RTBU MEMBERS STAND UP TO LABOUR HIRE BULLIES AT RAILTRAIN

RTBU members are sending a strong message to the bosses at Railtrain and labour hire companies across Australia: the RTBU will not stand by and allow wages and conditions to be undercut without a fight.

RTBU members at labour hire company RMC Track and Civil (a subsidiary of parent company Railtrain) have voted down an unfair agreement that included pay and conditions well-below the rail industry average and barely above the Award.

Management held the vote after only three teleconference meetings with the RTBU Negotiating Team, during which they arrogantly dismissed the Union’s concerns. It was obvious they had no intention of bargaining in good faith.

But this NO vote means the company now needs to go back to the drawing board,sharpen their pencil and come up with a better offer. Click here to continue reading the Newsflash.
