Return to Travelodge

Following the Government’s decision to quarantine people returning from overseas in order to prevent the spread of COVID 19, the Travelodge was requisitioned for that purpose which meant that Regional crew were required to find temporary accommodation elsewhere. This last-minute decision resulted in the Vibe Hotel on Goulburn street being assessed for suitability and deemed to meet the required standard.

Members have been staying there since, however, management have now been advised that the Travelodge is now available for members to return from 10 May.

Day sleepers arriving in Sydney on that day will resume accommodation at the Travelodge under the same arrangements as previously agreed and all other members arriving from that date onwards will follow the same arrangements.

Members are requested to contact their local delegate or RTBU head office if any issues arise with this process.
