RailTrain EA: VOTE NO!
Your RTBU negotiating Team met with RailTrain today (Friday 9 June).
The RTBU was back at the table (after our win in the Fair Work Commission last week) to start to negotiate the Infrastructure stream of the single Enterprise Agreement.
The RTBU provided RailTrain with some definitions and draft clauses to which RailTrain mostly said no, and took a number away to consider.
Even though Driver provisions are far from being resolved we anticipate that RailTrain will now be putting together its final version of the Enterprise Agreement and putting it out vote very soon.
The RTBU has not and cannot agree with any Company proposed Agreement and strongly advises Members and non-Members to VOTE NO.
While RailTrain has responded to our Claims, the RTBU does not agree with their responses – which in most cases have been to reject your log of claims outright.
The RTBU is and continues to be ready to bargain in good faith and believes that four meetings is clearly inadequate to consider and negotiate a decent Enterprise Agreement.
For RailTrain to suggest that negotiations are over only shows contempt for your genuine claims, and as such we strongly urge all Members and Non Members to VOTE NO.
