RailCorp loses its sectorisation bid… again

Earlier this year Fair Work Australia rejected RailCorp’s attempts to introduce sectorisation under the guise of “managerial prerogative”, saying that RailCorp was required to follow the process of consultation outlined in the EA for any major changes.

Undeterred, RailCorp appealed the decision and on May 22 the Full Bench of the FWA upheld the first decision, which is a great victory for the RTBU and drivers who want the right to keep up their familiarity with sectors on which they are not normally rostered.
