Visit the QUBE Protected Industrial Action Ballot Results – RTBU members have voted
In a strong united stance, QUBE RTBU Members have voted “YES” to Protected Industrial Action.
In an impressive show of solidarity, within the first 24 hours of the vote being opened, 64.22% of eligible voters had already voted. Overall, 83.85% of eligible voters had their say on Industrial Action and voted during the course of the Ballot. This enthusiastic and extensive result shows that QUBE members are committed in their fight for their rights and ready to stand up to management.
All forms of Protected Industrial Action were approved with questions receiving a strong ‘yes’ result of between 79.8 to 85.3%
Next Steps
The RTBU Locomotive Division has written to QUBE Management early this morning following the draft Enterprise Agreement which we have not yet received. We had expected QUBE to have provided the new draft EA to the RTBU EA Team for review last week.
Once the review has taken place and any changes agreed, it will be sent to you during a 7-day access period with other materials that will explain the changes to the Enterprise Agreement. After the access period, members get the opportunity to vote on the Enterprise Agreement. The result of voting will be known shortly after it is concluded.
If the vote is successful, QUBE will be required to submit the new enterprise agreement to the Fair Work Commission for approval. If the vote is unsuccessful, then Members will be consulted about notifying of Industrial Action in accordance with the Protected Action Ballot.
