Post COVID – will common sense result in investment in the right transport services?
A report looking at the impact of COVID-19 on public transport and how to move from response to recovery has suggested a rethink of the investment in projects such as the Metro.
We know that moving funding away from the private Metro project and into the existing heavy rail infrastructure already keeping our communities moving would be a much better investment.
Will our government’s attempt to use COVID-19 as an excuse to keep pushing forward with their flawed plans, or will they see sense and start investing in the transport services we actually need?
