Hunter Workers – International Workers Memorial Day
Date: Wednesday 28 April
Time: 12pm
Where: Newcastle Foreshore, Wharf Rd (opposite Newcastle Station bus Terminal, near mariners memorial).
Members are invited and urged to attend the annual memorial Speeches and wreath laying ceremony The International Day of Mourning is an important day for those who have lost loved ones to work-related incidents or illness. Together we remember and commemorate their lives and share their memories

Where: Meet at Hamilton Station carpark from 9:30am &- March to Gregson park
Come join all workers from across the Hunter in this annual event. This year’s focus will be on Frontline and Essential Workers. We urge all members to come out, bring their families and participate in the march up Beaumont street to Gregson park then listen to some of the guest speakers and support those that have been at the front over this past 18 months of the Pandemic. A sausage sizzle will be available for a gold coin donation or bring your own picnic.
