New afternoon Bathurst Bullet train service a huge success
Over 600 people reportedly boarded the new Bathurst Bullet train service at the Keppel Street station in the two weeks following its introduction.
As members may be aware, a secondary service was announced earlier this year which would leave later than the first and arrive earlier in the afternoons.
The new service has also meant increased traffic from regional villages Rydal and Tarana after stops were added based on feedback from the community.
“It’s great to see out regional communities becoming more interconnected. We need improved rail infrastructure in our regional towns to not only increase access for them, but to increase access to them. This is a great first step in improving that access and it really works as we’re seeing here,” said RTBU NSW Loco Division Secretary Bob Hayden.
