May Timetable Change

Consultation continues at a local level regarding diagram changes for May, with several depots now complete.

Eveleigh depot has reported that none of the promised fixes to their working will occur in May with management now saying it will be done in October (they didn’t say which year though!).

This is extremely disappointing as members will recall the debacle of the January changes and the stripping of Eveleigh’s work to the point where route knowledge retention was threatened, and the creation of acceptable rosters was near impossible.

The Loco Division has met with senior management over the matter and discussed at length what should be done to fix these issues however, with the proposed diagrams now available it would appear to have fallen on deaf ears. For this round of consultation, ICDC passed a resolution requiring all depots to supply their proposed diagrams and issues therein to the Loco Division for final assessment and resolution of any outstanding matters.
