Flemington Drivers Farewelled

Flemington Maintenance Centre recently farewelled 4 drivers with a fantastic send off at Lidcombe Bowling Club.

ETR crew, past and present, gathered to see off Gary “Doodles” Duncan, Peter Lane, Nick Petrik and Shane Mercieca. With well over 100 years driving between them their departure is a loss to the Flemington Depot and the Locomotive Division.

Locomotive Divisional Secretary Bob Hayden was in attendance to share a drink and present Membership plaques to the departing Drivers.

Bob, summed it up well, saying “It was a day filled with stories and laughs. A display of Solidarity and Unity all Members should be proud off”.

We wish Gary, Peter, Nick and Shane all the best for their future endeavours.
