Driverless trains “madness”

Here’s a win for common sense – London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, has branded the prospect of driverless tube trains in London as “madness”.

“Anybody who understands the basic knowledge of the underground system will know there are some deep level, deep underground services, where the idea of having driverless trains is madness,” the Mayor said.

“In the interests of saving some pounds to risk the safety of Londoners, of staff and visitors, is the height of recklessness.”

Let’s hope our politicians here are taking note.
