Aurizon Return on Availability Dispute Update 

Today the RTBU via Teams met with Aurizon Management who advised, consultation would continue as they “do not agree we are in dispute”. The RTBU does not agree with this view, hence we have escalated the dispute to the General Manager SEQ Coal. 

In good faith the RTBU asked that Aurizon Coal cease consultation and confirm the status quo will be maintained. We believe this will facilitate meaningful discussions regarding the issues surrounding ‘Return on Availability’ practices. 

If the status quo and dispute notification as described in our letter dated 15 August 2023 is not observed by COB 21 August 2023, the RTBU will have no choice but to escalate further.
