Aurizon Bulk Enterprise Agreement

 Members would now be aware that Aurizon’s recent attempt to get their non-union agreement endorsed by employees failed miserably. Members saw it was a bad deal and voted it down accordingly – 85% against. 

Unfortunately, it appears as though Aurizon didn’t get the message. We have now heard Aurizon are trying to circumvent your Union negotiating team by holding depot visits with employees to “hear their concerns”, rather than returning to the negotiation table. This is a trick big businesses try from time to time in an effort to undermine bargaining, its one we are on to and won’t accept. 

If Aurizon think they can update their inferior document with a splash of sugar coating and send it out for another vote without even talking to your Union, it just shows how out of touch they are. 

The RTBU has consistently told Aurizon, members will never accept an agreement that sees conditions going backwards or contains provisions that belong in the last century. 

Members are encouraged to advise Aurizon that the RTBU is their bargaining representative and that the company needs to return to the negotiation table to deliver an EA that genuinely represents member’s valuable contributions to the company. 

Your RTBU team are ready and eager to negotiate your new agreement, Aurizon need to accept the ballot result and come back to the table and stop the stalling tactics.
