NSW Trains – Fatigue Risk Management Plan
The RTBU has recently been consulted regarding a fatigue risk management plan which NSW Trains intends to undertake over the coming months.
Initially, roster construction and fatigue management applications will be reviewed for On Board staff at Albury which will be followed by a review of certain working for Drivers at Taree depot. The focus of this review will be on jobs that only have 7 hours in barracks and the fatigue levels associated with this working.
It is intended that further expansion of this program will occur firstly in Regional areas of operation however, Intercity working will ultimately be subject to the same review.
The Loco Division will be very closely monitoring any fatigue management plan that may be implemented as it is concerned by the ultimate flow on effects to members.
