Invitation to International Day of Mourning 2020 Online Service from Unions NSW
Dear members,
Please see below for details for an International Day of Mourning 2020 Online Service from Unions NSW.
This year, we will be commemorating the International Day of Mourning online. This decision has been made in line with the ban on public gatherings and public health advice for the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The International Day of Mourning is important to those who have lost loved ones to work-related incidents or illness. Together we remember and commemorate their lives and share their memories.
We invite you to join our online service at 11.55am (for a 12:00 noon start) on Tuesday, 28 April 2020 via the International Day of Mourning website which can be accessed at: https://idm2020.com.au/
The thirty-minute service will contain messages from Unions NSW, NSW members of Parliament, religious leaders and family members who have lost a loved one.
You will be able to interact and offer your condolences during the online service.
The International Day of Mourning 2020 online service will be available to view until 28 May 2020. After this date, the webpage along with the photos and messages will be archived.
For more information or if you have trouble accessing the website, please contact Unions NSW Senior Campaigner – Community Outreach Mary Yaager either by email at: myaager@unionsnsw.org.au or via phone on 0408 931 899.
Thank you for supporting this important event.
Yours sincerely
Mark Morey
