RTBU MEMBERS AURIZON EA UPDATE

Congratulations to all members on the Solidarity shown over last weekend’s protected industrial action and the turnout at the peaceful assemblies was fantastic and I am sure has sent a message to Aurizon as to your commitment.

After making contact with Greg Dixon on Monday following the action agreement has been reached to convene another meeting, Wednesday 22nd August 2018 with both your RTBU Locomotive Division negotiating committee and Aurizon negotiating committee with the intention to try and broker a deal.

During the conversation with Greg Dixon it was also highlighted that the RTBU has lodged the next notification for further protected industrial action as follows:

1. Twenty-Four (24) Hour stoppage of work by RTBU members covered by the Order, from 06.00 am Saturday 25th August 2018 to 06.00 am to Sunday 26th August 2018. This means you do not work at all during that time.

2. Twenty-Four (24) Hour stoppage of work by RTBU members covered by the Order, from 08.00 am on Sunday 26th August 2018 to 08.00am on Monday 27th August 2018. This means you do not work at all during that time.

Further information will be made available following the meeting and information regarding the impending Industrial Action. If anyone wishes to discuss anything in relation to the Protected Industrial Action it is requested that you call your local delegate or Union Organiser first.
