Wayne Seckold remembered

Mar 27, 2013News

It has been almost 12 months since Blacktown driver Wayne Seckold passed away suddenly at the age of 51 from a blood clot to the lungs on the 23rd April, 2012.

In recognition of his length of membership with the union, it was proposed by his fellow workmates at Blacktown that he be posthumously awarded a 30 years of membership plaque.

For 32 years Wayne was a loyal member of the union, from the start of his career working on the freight trains and continuing when he transferred across to the ETR section at Liverpool and Blacktown Depots.

On the 23rd of March, Blacktown Drivers Kevin Wilson (Depot Organiser) and Kylie Rossiter were proud to present Waynes fiancé, Lisa Page, with his plaque in appreciation of and acknowledging his 32 years of continuous membership of the AFULE, PTU and RTBU on behalf of the RTBU Locomotive Division.

Our thanks go to Kylie Rossiter for helping to arrange this presentation.
