TCAC Restructure
Sydney Trains recently advised that, owing to the new business structures, TCAC will be broken up to reflect the requirements of Sydney Trains and NSW Trains.
It was proposed that existing supervisors and assigners would be offered an expression of interest to work for one business or the other and their roles would then be isolated to that business for day and afternoon shifts.
The night work positions will continue to share the work until the full separation occurs and at this point there has been no decision on when or how that will occur.
Rostering functions will also cease to be undertaken by TCAC however, Booker on duties will still operate the same. It has been proposed that assigners would operate from different windows for drivers and guards for the two businesses.
The Loco Division will carefully monitor the changes for any issues that may arise.
