RailCorp pulled up on failure to consult

The Loco Division has ensured that RailCorp follow the proper consultation process on a proposal to implement computer based training to refresh drivers on Yards and Sidings training.

Members will be aware that the proposal to introducing E-Learning arises directly from the 2010 RailCorp EA. It was agreed in the EA, however, that consultation would occur with relevant training “Steering Committees” prior to implementing any E-Learning programs.

Once advised by the Loco Division, RailCorp postponed the proposed training meeting until proper consultation had occurred with Loco Division members.

This clearly represents how effective communication and timely advise from the membership can be utilised to ensure compliance with the EA process.
