QUBE Enterprise Agreement Update

Nov 5, 2019QUBE

Members have overwhelmingly voted down the company’s proposed Enterprise Agreement by 101 to 8. Congratulations for standing as one to fight for your current and future working conditions and pay.

Next Steps :

There is a Delegates phone hook up tomorrow (Wednesday 6th November 2019) with the RTBU to discuss the following:

  • Forcing QUBE Management back to the negotiation table with the RTBU Negotiating Team. This will allow us to continue our fight for a fair agreement which includes a pay increase that is commensurate with your worth – and not what the boss thinks you are worth; and
  • The possibility of industrial action

Members should discuss the reasons why you voted down the company’s proposed agreement with your Enterprise Agreement Delegates. Your EA Delegates are:

  • Dubbo – Grant Madsen.
  • Newcastle – Paul Hobbins and Trent Milton.
  • Junee – Jamie Smith and Gary West.
  • Sydney – Cameron Wood.

We are also now in a position to apply for a protected action ballot so members are encouraged to discuss what type of potential actions they would like to take. When we do file for an order for Protected Industrial Action with the Fair Work Commission, it is very important that you are a financial member of the RTBU, and that your current address details are the same with the RTBU and QUBE. If you are not sure if the home address that you have listed with QUBE matches the one on the RTBU membership system, please get in touch with the NSW RTBU Head Office on 02 9264 2511 or 02 9264 3400

Remember: if you are not a member of the RTBU or if your address with QUBE does not match the address on the RTBU system, then you will not be able to vote in any protected action ballot.
