‘Privatisation failure’ in the UK puts trains back in public hands

As if we needed more evidence of the fact that privatising our public transport services doesn’t work – the UK’s east coast main line has returned to public hands after what has been described as the total failure of privatisation.

Virgin Trains East Coast (VTEC) is the third operator to walk away from the service.
