PN Intermodal workers vote for industrial action
The results of the Pacific National Intermodal protected industrial action vote are in – and members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of taking all proposed forms of action.
The protected industrial action ballot came after the over 12 months of negotiations with the company over a new enterprise agreement stalled following the company’s refusal to budge on key issues.
Among the key issues still on the table include changes to the Drivers Only Operations clause and wages.
The Loco Division will be discussing the options and strategies available to members at depot meetings during the week and the union will consult with members before collectively deciding whether to exercise the right to any of the protected action options.
