Protected Industrial Action Starts
At the two member sessions at the Port Kembla Leagues Club on Friday 23rd October 2020, it was clear that members are very angry and unanimously voted to start Protected Industrial Action.
As a result of not hearing from Pacific National since the 2nd September 2020 and at the request of Members, we have lodged with Pacific National, two notices of Protected Industrial Action.
- A Ban on Overtime, and
- A Ban on Piloting Duties
Both actions will commence on Thursday 5th November 2020 at 8am and conclude at 8am on Thursday 26th November 2020. During these time frames, Pacific National cannot force you to do Overtime or the Piloting Duties.
