PN Bulk- Day time advice/ lay back
It’s disappointing that we continue to hear reports of PN Bulk management attempting to intimidate members into working outside their enterprise agreement provisions, particularly in relation to laying you back.
In the daytime period, if you have not been lifted up, PN must contact you at your nominated call time and either confirm your original sign on time or lay you back. E.g., if your advised sign on time is 11am and you have nominated a call time of 90 minutes, then PN must call you at 0930 and confirm your 11 am start time or lay you back at that time. They cannot contact you later and lay you back, as in the example, after 0930.
PN have been telling people (particularly those at Moss Vale and Parkes) there are agreements with the RTBU that excludes these provisions. THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE!
We note the Coal business has had no issue complying with these new requirements, it appears it’s only Bulk management making noise and trying to intimidate members.
Members are again advised that any working outside your enterprise agreement is to be avoided.
Members should report any further instances to their local delegates or contact Brian Head, RTBU Loco Organiser on 0460 422 033.
