Pacific National Bulk EA in final stages
The final version of the Pacific National Bulk enterprise agreement is currently being reviewed in an effort to finalise the agreement before sending it out to members for voting.
A meeting will take place on May 1 to look over the agreement and should in-principle agreement be reached then, Pacific National will be asked to supply all employees with an individual copy.
Members will then have 14 days to consider the agreement before joint company and union meetings will be scheduled to discuss and consider the agreement before casting their secret ballot vote.
Dates for the tour will be confirmed shortly. At this stage it is expected the secret ballot will take place on the day of the tour, with an absentee voting process available for those who can’t make the meetings.
As a result of the company refusing to treat all PN Rail Employees the same regarding the yearly cash payments, the union will not be actively supporting the agreement, but will take a neutral position, allowing members to decide if the agreement is good enough to support.
