NSW Trains Uniform Fittings

While the dispute with NSW Trains over the proposed uniform changes is still in place – and wearing the uniform cannot be enforced – NSW Trains can now begin sizings/fittings for crew.

Any fittings that are undertaken must be done in accordance with the relevant Drivers Rostering conditions and the EA.

The Loco Division has also acted on claims that managers in some areas were offering drivers one hour of non-subject payment to attend fittings in their own time.

We were successful in stopping this process, as it does not comply with our agreements. Members should report any of these attempts to their local delegate.

Additionally, some managers are threatening drivers with being stood down if they don’t attend fittings before or after a mileage diagram.

These actions are obviously outside of Drivers Rostering conditions and could be considered to amount to bullying under the Code of Conduct. Once again these instances should reported to the local delegate.
