May Day 2022: Newcastle Rally

We were in Newcastle on May Day to rally for the ongoing improvement of workers’ rights and to celebrate the contribution of all workers everywhere.

Just like every year, it was a great event, with the Locomotive Division members representing a great roll up of combined RTBU Members, their families, and friends from all Divisions.

RTBU NSW Locomotive Divisional Secretary Farren Campbell says, “May Day is one of the most important days on the union calendar.

“We have a responsibility as unionists and workers to make sure we are heard. The amazing rallies in Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong, and all rallies where RTBU members marched with workers and community members, reiterates that we are a united front and that we will always stand up for each other.”
