Lift Up and Lay Back Dispute escalated

The current Step 3 dispute over the non-payment of Lift Up and Lay back for drivers working on a relief line has now been escalated to the Fair Work Commission for conciliation.

It has come to the attention of the Loco Division that a portion of Sydney Trains payroll officers have been applying an interpretation of the Driver Rostering and Working Arrangements that has resulted in the non-payment of what we believe to be a valid entitlement for relief line drivers. This matter will go to conciliation on 18 November 2016.

Members will be informed of the outcome of this conciliation.
