IRA Agreement claim
The RTBU Locomotive Division are currently considering our ability to pursue a claim on behalf of all past and present members who were employed under the Independent Railways Australia Enterprise Agreement 2011 (the IRA Agreement), prior to the QUBE Logistics (Rail) Train Crew and RTBU NSW Enterprise Agreement 2015 (the QUBE Agreement) coming into effect.
Based on the construction of the IRA Agreement, there is a possibility that there are up to three wage increases owing to RTBU members who were employed by IRA during this period. The RTBU are seeking information from all members who were employed by IRA under the IRA Agreement, so that we can properly consider if there is a case and if so what our options are to pursue a claim which may include proceeding to the Federal Court of Australia which, if successful, could entitle ex-IRA employees to the potential for wage increases that may be owing, under the as mentioned IRA Agreement.
1. Are an RTBU member and were formerly an IRA employee under the IRA Agreement, the RTBU would request that you fill in our survey by COB Wednesday 06 February 2019. The link for the survey can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WHJ5BKJ
2. Are not an RTBU member but currently work for QUBE or another rail operator, believe you have a claim as you were an IRA employee between 2011 and 2015 and would like to participate in the proceedings, then you may join the RTBU and complete the survey found at the above link by COB Wednesday 06 February 20, in which case your name will be included in the proceedings.
3. Were previously an RTBU member, are no longer a member because you no longer work in the industry but were an RTBU member employed by IRA under the IRA Agreement, please complete the survey by COB Wednesday 06 February 20, in which case your name will be included in the proceedings.
