Increase in union dues 2016

The scheduled union fee increase for all Rail Division Members which was due on the 1st of July 2016 has been deferred until the first full pay period from 1st October 2016. This occurred due to membership system updates and delegate elections.

The new rates from the first full pay period from 1st October 2016 will be as follows:

Full-Time & Part-Time      $25.70 per fortnight      (an increase of 0.65 cents)
Casual                                      $15.15 per fortnight       (an increase of 0.40 cents)

Please note that:

– the fee increase was applied to the actual fees and not the levy component

– we will not be seeking payment for the three months between 1st July and 1st October from members

– the increase applied is consistent with all previous increases, which have been based on the average increase across all members for the previous 12 months.
