In-principle agreement reached on Freightliner EA

After an eventful discussion period, negotiations for a new Freightliner enterprise agreement have finally concluded.

In-principle agreement has been reached on all outstanding items, following employees’ rejection of the previous version put out for a vote by the company.

Face to face briefing sessions were held on the 12^th and 13^th January and a phone up session will be held with the Mudgee Drivers to brief drivers/ members on the agreement. Face to face briefings being attended by both the company and your RTBU negotiation representatives will also be held in the near future.

The EA and interpretation document were issued to all employees covered by the agreement on the evening of 12^th January, and voting will commence at 00:01 on 21/01/15 and close at 05:59 on 26/01/15.

Due to the public holiday, the results will be declared on 27^th January.  Voting will be conducted and managed by Election Consulting Group – an independent company that conducts a range of elections and has been used for other EA’s over the past few years.

All members are encouraged to contact their negotiation representatives if they have any questions regarding the EA and or process.

Should the Vote be successful the parties will commence the formal FWC process for certification.
