Fight is on for the Casino to Murwillumbah rail service

Do you think the Casino to Murwillumbah rail line should be protected and repaired?

A petition is being circulated online, calling for the northern rivers line to be reopened for commuter services.

The line was closed in 2004, despite strong community opposition. With many towns in the area not connected by a public bus, the railway is seen by many as an essential service – especially given the rapid population growth in the region.
