El Zorro super debacle

The Loco Division has been in serious discussions with El Zorro recently, after the company failed to pay superannuation to its employees for the three months leading up to December.

The company has since assured employees and the union that the contribution will be rectified in the next payment, which was due on the 29^th April.

Loco Division Secretary Bob Hayden said the situation is absolutely unacceptable and said if the company does not pay the extra superannuation on the 29^th April, the union would have no option but to look at the legal avenues available.

Negotiations for a new El Zorro enterprise agreement are due to commence on 1 July 2013.
