Big brother could be watching

The Loco Division has recently received reports that Sydney Trains may have started real time CCTV surveillance of various platforms across the network in an apparent attempt to “ascertain the cause of delays”.

The division has had a number of complaints from drivers and crew about management requesting explanations for delays that are measured in seconds.

The RTBU has requested an urgent meeting with senior management in order to establish the parameters and scope of Sydney Trains’ current CCTV use, and to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation.
