Aurizon breach of employee privacy
In a shocking display of disregard for workers’ privacy, Aurizon has been caught out once again leaving employees’ personal records in an insecure area.
A member recently discovered employee records in an unlocked shed at the Mayfield Depot, which was accessible by third party contractors. After immediately informing the company, he and the Loco Division were guaranteed that an investigation into what happened was underway and that the situation had been immediately rectified.

However, this week, the member has once again discovered employee records in the same insecure area – despite having been told previously that all personal documentation had been shredded.
The Loco Division is urgently looking into this issue and will be calling on the company to explain it’s complete lack of respect for employees’ privacy.
It is completely unacceptable that personal details would be left laying around, not once, but now twice, and the Loco Division will be looking into all opens available to deal with this problem.
If you have any concerns regarding the issue, you should contact Aurizon directly or the Loco Division office. Stay tuned.
