Safety yards and terminals for freight operators

Hazardous conditions in freight yards and terminals are an on-going issue. In the near future RTBU representatives including OHS Coordinator Keith McMahon will be identifying and inspecting yards and terminals across NSW.

Next up is a follow-up inspection for QR Interail at Glenlee and Yennora, which will take place around the end of March.

Outstanding issues for Glenlee include uneven walkways, insufficient lighting, poor drainage and coal dust during dry spells.

The RTBU looks forward to working with operators to provide safer and healthier working conditions in yards and terminals.
