QUBE mobile phone dispute
Tuesday this week, your RTBU Locomotive Division issued QUBE Management with a Notice of Dispute regarding the issuing of company Mobile Phones without consultation with you or the RTBU. To date we have not received a response from QUBE.
This is a breach of the current Enterprise Agreement whereby QUBE must consult with any new technology including the use of new devices and payroll Apps such as “Trapeze”.
So far, we have seen the following issues,
- Non-payment of wages
- Non-payment of Lift-up or Lay Back
- Non-payment of Allowances
- Nil support for setting up the phones
- Rejection of Allowance messages without any reasons
These are just some of the issues. We have more questions regarding the use of the new phones and what other Apps or capability these phones offer, including when they are used for tracking.
As part of the Dispute, we advised QUBE that the status quo is in force and all Members should return the Mobile Phones.
