The crib issue that keeps going and going…

NSW Trains’ failure to resolve the ongoing issue crib breaks being paid incorrectly has forced the Loco Division to take the issue to the Fair Work Commission.

Certain NSW Trains depots are paying their crib break as associated work, rather than unassociated work, which means that it is being paid as part of the mileage component and not as a standalone payment as it should be.

The matter has been in dispute since early 2014.

Members will be advised at to the outcome of the Fair Work Commission hearing which is due to take place in December.
