Garry McDean Memorial Day

The Garry McDean Memorial Golf Day, held last month at the Taree Golf Club, proved yet again just how many rail workers were touched by the late driver.

There was another huge turn-out for the inter-company event and congratulations go to Mark Farrow and Jonah Kime who took out first place in the competition.

“It was another sensational day out,” Social Club Treasurer Shane Welch said.

“It’s always fantastic to see everyone, from all different companies, come together to celebrate a great man.

“I’d like to thank everyone who turned out for the day. And a special congratulations must go to our winners and runners up who proved that as well as being great rail workers, they’re also pretty handy with a golf club.”
