Your Picnic Day is an employee entitlement in the Sydney and NSW Trains 2014 EA. It’s under attack and comes up for discussion at almost every EA negotiation. Unfortunately the decline in ticket sales in recent years serves to undermine this entitlement – and also makes it harder for Picnic Committees to provide the best possible day out.

Remember, for the price of your picnic day ticket you’re entitled to a day’s pay – but to receive it you must provide evidence of attendance at the picnic. Read more here.
