Westmead to Granville

In a win for members following a number of concerns being lodged and a notice of dispute issued by the Loco Division, Sydney Trains have withdrawn GI 106/2015 concerning the Granville to Westmead Signal Commissioning, which contained a number of errors that could have affected safety.

Sydney Trains have issued a new General Instruction 04/2016, which contains changes to all identified errors contained in the original GI.

Members are urged to continue to drive their trains safely while coming to an understanding of the changes.

Standards officers are around to explain what has changed; so approach them to ensure you have whatever information you need to know to ensure you’re able to drive safely.

The Loco Division continues to debate the issues and make management accountable for the relevant, suitable, and safe training of members.
