Westmead Children’s Hospital donations appeal

Greetings Members 

With less than a month to go before Christmas, today marked the start of the Blacktown Depot 2017 Christmas Gift Appeal, an initiative that was started by our Area Manager Paul Bartolo last year to bring a little joy to the children at Westmead Children’s Hospital who will not be able to spend time with their families this Christmas. Last year’s appeal was a great success and we are hoping that this year we can do a little better. 

As an added bonus (or incentive), this year, we will also be teaming up with the Crews at Flemington and ASY who are doing a similar toy drive. Paul Bartolo will drop the gifts off at Westmead Children’s Hospital a couple of days prior to Christmas and anyone who would like to go along and assist on the day will be more than welcome.

As like last year, unfortunately we can’t wrap the gifts as the nurses at the hospital will inspect and allocate them depending on the kids ages / conditions / allergies etc. 

So if you would like to donate a toy, colouring books or anything else you think would give a sick kid some Christmas cheer, just leave your donation under the tree in the sign on area.
