Sydney Trains set for deep and meaningful convos
Sydney Trains employees, prepare to have some deep conversations with your managers.
Sydney Trains has decided to introduce a concept called ‘My Success at Work’. The program, which will be rolled out with all frontline wages employees, will see members participate in one on one discussions with their immediate manager about how “business objectives, customer service and SPACE behaviours” relate directly to the employee. From there, specific goals and “opportunities for growth within their current role” will be developed.
Management says the proposal is as a “planning, development and review process” to align with their “vision to keep Sydney Trains moving by delivering safe, customer focused and clean rail services”.
For train crew, these will then be reviewed at 12 month intervals. A pilot program will be undertaken at North Sydney and Cronulla depots commencing in November and run through to mid December. The Loco Division will welcome feedback on how effective, or not, the program is at the conclusion of the trials.
